Véronique Barlay loves Art, different cultures and travelling. Thanks to her job as a Project Manager Fine Arts & Events at Global Expo Services, she is able to combine all of these things. A perfect match.

Véronique’s first jobs had nothing to do with arts. First she worked in the Human Resources Department of a French company, then for a big American company which led to her spending a lot of time in the United States and all over the world. It opened up her taste for travelling and foreign cultures. “Working in an international environment, meeting people with different backgrounds and learning new things from them on a daily basis really motivated me,” she says.

Véronique studied art and communication after her bachelor degree in economics. “My first jobs were good but had nothing to do with art that had always been in a corner of my mind. So I started looking for a job where I could live my passion for art,” she explains.

When she started at Global Expo Services in 2001, she began working on general exhibitions. A couple of years later, she got the opportunity to develop the fine arts exhibition department of Global Expo Services. “All of a sudden, I was handling logistics for fascinating projects such as a fashion show in Havana for a famous high fashion house or one of their shows in Venice (Italy), a country I particularly love by the way, for its cuisine and easy-going lifestyle,” Véronique says with a smile.

Many more exciting projects followed over the years, like an event in Oman, handling a world-wide ephemeral exhibition for a big international hotel chain, art transports destined for galleries in New York or Miami, and of course the two important art shows in Paris, “Révélations” and the International Heritage Fair.
